 You, like most people, support your community at some level. This support may take the form of a charitable gift, payment of taxes or volunteering your time.  However, recent studies indicate that many people have a sense of growing frustration that many major problems never seem to go away.  It is as if the worlds stuck in neutral and no one is being accountable for these problems.  As a result, you may now be looking for new ways to become engaged, to make a difference and to bring these problems under control or to eliminate them altogether.

 DaVinci Quest can help you put together a personal social responsibility program that matches your interests, falls within the limits of your pocketbook and is convenient to your busy schedule – prepackaged and ready to engage. Your contribution will be added to that of other Members until we have gathered together enough resources to directly and substantively address the Top 10 World Problems.

 We produce a variety of activities and events from which you can pick and choose to tailor a program that optimizes the application of your gifts and talents to the most serious problems of the day:

  • The high cost of energy
  • Pollution of the environment
  • Taxation as a system for financing government
  • Provision and finance of health care
  • Major storms: hurricanes, typhoons and cyclones
  • Power outages, brownouts and peak energy prices
  • The failure of education to make you job ready
  • Diseases and other losses of health
  • Inefficient and inadequate food production
  • Digital fraud and loss of privacy

 To address these problems, we apply and encourage innovation – new technical and social solutions that will change the way we live.

 To get started, we invite you to become a Member of DaVinci Quest.  For a small fee of $25, you will become a part of our international community with like minded people where you will be presented with opportunities to step up and change the world.

 With your Membership fee, you will immediately begin making a difference.  40% of your fee will go into our Prize Pool to be used as incentives for our innovation competitions.  We are currently conducting the Smarter, Safer, Greener House Contest in Longmont, Colorado to advance innovations that make existing homes more intelligent, safer to live in and more environmentally friendly.  We are currently developing a contest for the City of Lafayette, Louisiana on use of weather modification to mitigate hurricane damage.  Additional innovation competitions are being designed to improve energy storage, enable urban agriculture, end identity theft and develop new and more effective forms of governance.

  • Building an industry hub for Green Building Renovation in Boulder County, Colorado - work is underway to establish a research, development and commercialization center where we can hold public meetings, demonstrate alternative energy products and services, provide understandable renovation information to homeowners on upgrading their homes and provide job training.
  • Advocating for a change in public policy away from centralized power production to decentralized alternative power production where every building generates its own energy.
  • Developing a social innovation competition for Ashoka Changemakers and the City of Denver to lower energy bills - the next $10,000 in Prize Pool contributions will go toward prizes for this competition.
  • Working with the National Center for Community Collaboration in mentoring the expansion of the Card Project of the Gathering Place – a women’s shelter in Denver.
  • Authoring an online educational program on Innovation as a Life Skill that will be available to you as a Member without charge.
  • Supporting development of new technologies – a device to clean up abandoned mines, brown fields and toxic wastes and a process for the treatment of migraine headaches.

 Our goal is to offer you a growing cafeteria of social responsibility programs that you can personalize and tailor to your preferences.  We will provide you with ready to use tools for social innovation – for taking action and doing good.
